T.9S. R.69W. Sec.21 Devils Head area Topaz claim is adjacent to Topaz Point campground. Originally owned by the Geologic Club of Denver. Devils Head is located along the Rampart Range between Deckers and Woodland Park. it is famous for some very good topaz,smoky quarts and common microline crystals which also grow to very large dimensions. There are good access roads from a number of directions. The granite in which pockets are found is coarse-grained and pink-colored. Heavy hematite discoloration is common in the pockets of this area.
